Saucony are starting 2020 by collaborating with Canadian streetwear brand Raised By Wolves, set to release this January 25th.
Raised By Wolves first began when creator and former editor-in-chief of Streetwear blog Highsnobiety; Pete Williams founded the brand in 2008, and since then has seen collaborations with the likes of Timberland and Asics. Inspired by Canadian aesthetics, the brand combines folklore and graphics into their line of modern silhouettes.
This collab sees the AYA dressed in a combination of tonal grey suede, leather and mesh, titled 'Asphalt Jungle'. The performance silhouette sees the light of day once again since its release in 1994.
Taking direct inspiration from Chad Muska’s line of skateboarding sneakers and late '90s skateboard culture, this sneaker is fitted with a drawstring lacing system and concealed stash pocket in the tongue, popular with skate shoes from that era. This detail packed sneaker is accented with vibrant bursts of colour on the sole and interior, with subtle 3M branding on the heel. Each pair also includes two sets of alternative laces so you can fully customise for every environment.
The Raised By Wolves X Saucony AYA 'Asphalt Jungle' will be available at Sole Finess in women's US6.5-10.5 in half sizes only on Saturday January 25th 00:00 AEDT (midnight Friday) online, remaining pairs in store from 11am.
