For those who don’t know, Rashna is an audio producer, DJ and writer, reporting on serious topics like femicide, ranging to joyful things like memes and TikTok.
Growing up in the Middle East before moving to Australia, keeping in touch with her South Asian heritage has always been a priority; "One of the main ways I do that is through DJing and music."
Having started DJing as part of a collective in Canberra called Vessel in late 2019, she's since then moved to Melbourne earlier this year and you can bet she's looking forward to playing in front of a crowd again.
So what's behind the inspiration for For The Honeys Volume 21? Rashna tells us; "My mixes usually reflect my mood at the time. I was feeling quite energetic and hopeful when I recorded this. It was super sunny outside and I had my blinds wide open so all my neighbours could probably see me dancing alone in my room."
Expect to see a whole lot more of Rashna post pandemic.
Rashna wears the Air Force 1 '07 LX "Siempre Familia", NikeLab Solo Swoosh Track Pants and adidas Corded Velour Tee from Finesse.
